Adopt a child in prayer

For those that are interested....Lisa had sent out an idea to her list of people who support her about an idea we had to have someone who specifically will pray for one of our boys (soon girls). But not all of our boys have someone praying specifically for them yet so I am sending it to you to see if anyone feels lead to take one or even two children that they will adopt in prayer?

I know many pray for all of them (us), but this would be a little different. Our boys know who is praying for them and many times ask. If you felt God saying something to them or just wanted to send an encouragement you could do this as well.

So if God is touching your heart to partner with us in this please email me back and I can send you a name and with their picture. I know there is great power in this as Father hears our prayers. And if your child is going through a rough time I would let you know....it's like an adoption....only it is through prayer.

Together in the Harvest.

Back in Mozambique!

Hello from Dondo!!

What a long journey it was getting here, but it is so wonderful to be back. We have had problems with our internet so I have not been able to be in communication by email until now. Today a few of us came to Beira to an internet place so we could send emails and do other necessary work. I had written up a newsletter of everything that has been taking place since me arrival, but when I tried to put it on a blank CD which I bought here in Beira it would not work...But thankfully I am able to attach a picture of Lisa and myself with some of our boys after we arrived.

As I said, it is really great to be back. The welcome home to Dondo has been very warm and full of joy. When I am able I will send the newsletter I originally wrote, but for now I will tell you a bit of what has been taking place. Many things have just recently changed at our center of which some are big blessings. We now have three pastors who have joined our team to work with our boys. They will be trading off and on as their working shifts dictate, but it truly is an answer to prayer that God has sent us not only one, but three Mozambiquen men to be examples to our boys.

When Lisa and I arrived on the base we were welcomed with our boys chasing the car with great laughter as they tried to jump in to give us hugs and welcome us back. It has been such a testimony with our return that we did not abandon them like so many others have. I feel our return has given them some stability.

This next week we are starting up the next session of Bible School which we are expecting to have around 70 students. Ten of these students will hopefully be women. There is a great expectation and excitement in my spirit to begin teaching again. Many students have already arrived on our base, but we continue to receive new people each day. It brings great joy to know that Jesus has hand picked each one to be with us during this Bible School as I know He has great things planned for each of their lives.

For those that have been praying for Goncalves he is still not living with us at the base as he has not changed his ways. I see him almost everyday and continue to love and speak truth and life to him. The enemy has not won this battle as I have not given up and will still fight for victory in Goncalves life. He knows he has to make the choice to change, but right now he does not want to.

As I mentioned to some while in the states we have some new children. We actually have three new boys; Josia, Zacharias and Rui. Josia and Zacharias are brothers - very sweet boys. Rui is a very simple boy, but so full of joy. He has no family except his aunt who kicked him out because he is simple - they say she is crazy too. But Jesus loves each of these and I am so thankful that He has entrusted them in our hands.

Since being back I found out that the director in Beira who Lisa and I had difficulties with is supposed to be leaving Beira in August to go to Pemba. Some one new will be taking his place in Beira....I think it is an answer to prayer. :)

Thank you to each of you for all of your love, prayers and support. May you see the fruit of your love continually!! Thank you for remembering me and the precious people of Mozambique.

With Much Love,

Ashlee
